We make the process of building a new home efficient with just the right amount of personalization at every stage. You will work with our dedicated sales team—and later, our designer—to explore your options that will make an O’Brien Brothers home your dream home.
Your step-by-step home build process:
1 – Connect with us
Meet on-site, over the phone, or online with a sales team member to discuss your interest, timing, price-point, and housing needs.
2 – Select site & style
Meet with our in-house designer to choose your home site, floor plan, and architectural style, along with any significant plan alterations such as expanded decks, patios, and finished lower levels.
3 – Select your floorplan
Our in-house designer works one-on-one with you to select the perfect floor plan and architectural style for your lifestyle. Unlike other builders, you won’t be sent to a vendor on your own—your dedicated designer guides you through every decision, from major selections to personalized upgrades like custom tile showers, custom kitchens, and more.
4 – Contract Signing
With your home plan, site, and major selections confirmed, it’s time to make it official. Our team will provide a purchase and sale contract along with your personalized home specifications. Signing early allows us to begin permitting right away, keeping your construction timeline on track.
5 – Choose your finishes
With your contract signed and foundation underway, it’s time for the fun part. Our in-house designer will guide you through an extensive selection of finishes—from siding, roofing, and flooring to countertops, cabinetry, hardware, faucets, doors, and paint colors. The choices are nearly endless, and your designer is with you every step of the way. Prefer a curated look? Choose from several expertly designed palettes for a cohesive, professionally designed aesthetic. All samples are available in our custom design center.
6 – Build begins
Our streamlined construction process means a faster build without sacrificing quality. You’ll receive regular updates at key milestones, plus two on-site visits—before sheetrock and during finish work—so you can experience the excitement as your home comes to life.
7 – Keys to your home
Congratulations! After a final walk-through and orientation, we hand you the keys to your new home. Your home comes with a 12-month warranty and a dedicated warranty team to help you settle in, understand your home’s features, and ensure everything meets specification.
